A MIDPOINT CHECK-IN

You are here today because you are instrumental in the vision of The Avenue Church. Over the last three decades we have seen some significant things happen that have put us in position to make a major difference in Ellis County. Our vision at The Avenue is to reach people and we will continuously do whatever it takes to bring them into the family of God! To this point, we have taken big risks in pursuit of the vision God has given us as a church, which has required great amounts of faith. At every step we have experienced the faithfulness of God. Some of the significant moments include: A group of 120 people who decided that reaching those outside of the church was more important than maintaining the status quo by keeping those inside the church happy. The 600 people who left the security of land and a building to relocate and change the name of their church. The 150 who left the comfort of the new building to start a second campus in Ennis. And now the 10,000 people in Ellis County that consider The Avenue their home.

I believe God has much more in store for us and it starts with you. In this next season, at The Avenue, we want to help you hit the gas pedal in your personal relationship with God. As we grow in relationship with God, we become better. Better husbands, better wives, better parents, better employers, better employees, better friends. This acceleration will cause God to multiply his work in your family and in your community. As Ellis County continues to grow, we need to accelerate our capacity to reach the thousands who will be moving here in the next several years. Our goal is to reach them by showing them a better way to do life... that starts with you.

Our desire is for you to allow God to do something in you that will allow Him to do something through you. Our vision is to accelerate His work in Ellis County. God will use somebody, it should be you. God will use His church, it should be ours.
